"
Chenyu Wang has demonstrated his outstanding performance in materials chemistry synthesis. His original contribution to the field of nanomaterial preparation is having successfully prepared platinum-cobalt and platinum-iron concave nanocubes with high-indexed crystallographic facets."
"He has also identified a new research direction, hydrogenation catalysis, where his novel nanocrystals can be applied, demonstrating an improved turnover frequency and superior catalytic stability."... (2014)

"
Dan Xu’s research focuses on the synthesis of Cu-based bimetallic
nanocubes, as well as their electrochemical properties examination.
She has successfully proposed a mechanism to interpret the particle
growth and shape evaluation of advanced fuel cell materials. Co-author
of five high-quality, high-impact journal publications, Xu “conducts
her..." (2010)

"
Zhaoyong Sun’s research is focused on the synthesis, characterization,
optical properties and self/binary assembly of indium oxide-based
semiconductor nanocrystals. The nanocrystals he has produced show
large non-linear optical susceptibilities and two-photon absorption
properties. This research, according to Sun’s nominators..."

Jun Zhang has “made substantial contributions in the area of
functional nanomaterials,” his nominator said. He has authored five
papers and co-authored four others, several of which appear in the
top three journals in his field internationally. Faculty at Miami
University of Ohio noted Zhang’s successful collaboration with their
laboratory on the topic of metal..." (2009)

Sui (Sandy) Chan, Department
Research Award: 2007 Summer.
In summer of 2007, Sui (Sandy) Chan received an Undergraduate
Student Research Award from Chemistry Department. This award
contributed from a generous gift from a donor who wishes to
remain anonymous and established recently by the department was
competitively given to a high-quality undergraduate student of
Chemistry to conduct his/her summer research. Congratulations!
